Program Highlights
Turtle Conservation Bali: Visit a conservation center dedicated to saving and protecting sea turtles. You will learn about the challenges facing the turtle population, including hunting and natural predators. The conservationists work tirelessly to find and rescue turtle eggs laid on the beach, protecting them from harm.
Witness Conservation in Action: The program provides insight into how the conservationists safely hatch turtle eggs. While naturally hatched eggs have a very low survival rate (less than 40%), the eggs at the center have a 99% success rate. You will gain a deeper understanding of their methods and dedication.
Release Baby Turtles: The most touching part of the program is the opportunity to be a part of the turtle's journey back to the sea. You will witness, and may even participate in, the release of baby turtles that are at least one month old, giving them a much better chance of survival.
Authentic Balinese Lunch: After the conservation activities, you'll be treated to a special, homemade lunch in a traditional Balinese family compound. A local housewife will prepare the meal, providing a true taste of Balinese cooking and a warm, family atmosphere.
This is more than just a tour; it's a chance to make a positive impact, learn about wildlife conservation, and connect with the local community in a meaningful way.
