This program will invite you to see turtle breeding activities and also rescue baby turtles on Turtle Island.
This program offers a truly immersive and compassionate experience for those who care about marine life. It goes beyond a simple observation of turtles and delves into the full scope of a dedicated rescue and rehabilitation effort.
This program is a unique opportunity to see the complete cycle of turtle conservation, from breeding and hatching to the advanced care of injured animals. You will join the dedicated local community on Turtle Island in their mission to protect the turtle population.
Program Highlights
Breeding and Hatching Activities: Learn about the heroic efforts of locals who search for turtle eggs and protect them from predators and environmental threats. You'll witness how these precious eggs are incubated in a safe environment, significantly increasing their chances of survival.
Baby Turtle Rescue: You'll see firsthand how local people carefully manage the baby turtles, ensuring they are old and strong enough to survive on their own before being released back into the wild. This critical step is vital for the long-term health of the species.
Rescue and Rehabilitation: The program highlights the advanced level of care provided. You will learn about how turtles that have been injured at sea—from boat propellers, plastic consumption, or entanglement in fishing nets—are rescued. A doctor provides specialized treatment and care before the turtles are released back into their natural habitat.
This is a comprehensive and educational program that shows the full spectrum of turtle conservation, from the very beginning of life to the care of mature, injured animals. It's a powerful and moving experience for anyone who wants to see the real impact of dedicated conservation work.
