Your day begins with a special behind-the-scenes look at one of Bali's most famous performances: the Barong and Kris Dance. This dance is a powerful theatrical representation of good versus evil. While the version performed for tourists is an entertaining spectacle, its roots are deeply sacred, often performed at night to welcome spirits.

You'll get an exclusive look at the preparation process, watching one of the main artists apply their makeup, put on their intricate costume, and get ready for their role. After watching their mesmerizing one-hour performance, you'll gain a new appreciation for the art form.

A Taste of Local Life and Lunch

After the performance, we’ll visit a nearby silver museum. Here you'll see stunning examples of the intricate jewelry worn in many of the traditional dances. This is also our chance to wait for the dance artist to finish their post-performance routine and return home.

Next, we'll head to a local village for an authentic experience. You’ll enjoy a delicious home-cooked lunch prepared by a resident while learning about the unique architecture and culture of a traditional Balinese house.

Your Personal Balinese Dance Lesson

After lunch, we'll go to the home of the dance artist you met earlier. It's here, in a cozy and personal setting, that you'll receive a two-hour dance lesson. Dressed in traditional semi-Balinese attire, you'll learn the fundamental movements of Balinese dance. The lesson focuses on the importance of every part of your body—from the subtle flick of your fingers to the powerful gaze of your eyes—as you move to the enchanting rhythm of traditional music.

By the end of your lesson, you'll have a deeper understanding of the strength and grace behind each movement. We will then take you back to your accommodation, full of new knowledge and unforgettable memories.
