We loved this villa, originally we wanted to stay in ubud, we were incredibly happy when we saw how busy it gets that we went with Wayan’s suggestion it was perfect. Only slight thing we could have improved would be a dustpan and brush because there was we a little bird who came to visit everyday and a spare bed. But these were minor.

We loved this little hotel, it was away from the busy part of the town and we walked to restaurants in the evening. It was the perfect base for scuba diving the liberty wreck.

Gili air - we chose here of the 3 islands due to it not being quite like gili meno, and not busy like gili t. We chose this hotel for the water bungalow style but it is a little dated compared to the photos - this does not bother us at all but wouldn’t want someone to be disappointed. Also our hotel had a party one night - again this does not bother us but might be tricky with a younger family. The lady’s at the resort were particularly helpful when my hair extensions got incredibly tangled and I cannot thank them enough for removing them for me!

The tour programme was the perfect blend of culture, adventure, activities and relaxation. There were two trips running simultaneously- one for our family which included scuba diving and a trip to gili air, white water rafting and cycling whilst the other trip was for my elderly parents. Both trips were executed to perfection catering the different demands of each group - which finished on our final night with the perfect birthday celebration with everyone.

Wayan Sumatra has been an absolute pleasure from start to finish, we have communicated for months and he has worked tirelessly to tweak and accommodate our itinerary to meet our requirements. He and his family have welcomed us with open arms and what a pleasure it has been to be part of his wonderful family for two weeks! Although we can’t handle the same level of spice just yet!!

Without the continuous help and support from Wayan Sumatra and his family and team we might have experienced a few glitches, but he has made sure everything was perfect even including the most amazing photographers/videographers for our wedding and hair and makeup, he has shown us many new things and taught us different Balinese cooking skills, how to make offerings and we can spot the difference between a wedding ceremony, temple ceremony and gulang celebrations from afar like pros!
